Don Witt is an Independent Writer, Blogger, Commentator/Emerging Technology Markets & Channel Partners Don Witt is an accomplished Senior Executive and Board Member with more than 50 years of success across the telecommunications, technology, software, and distribution industries. Throughout his career, Don has held various leadership positions including Senior Systems Engineer at Northern Telecom, Director of Marketing in the CTOS and NGEN Division at Convergent Technologies, President and Owner of Cylogistics, and Vice President of Strategic Sales and Founding Partner of Voice Carrier. Currently, he has been working as a regular contributor at TelecomReseller. Don has had tremendous success over the years and has served as a key contributor to numerous organizational achievements. His distribution company, Cylogistics, grew to be a multi-million-dollar business and was the first VoIP distributor in the US. Cylogistics was first to distribute Digium in the world bringing in $5M annually in sales alone and the only US distributor for Sangoma (for nine years). Don also co-founded Voice Carrier, a VoIP telephone service that served small to mid-size businesses and provides an array of professional phone features at a more affordable rate than large-scale phone providers. Don received his Bachelor of Business in Marketing and minor in Computer Science from Western Illinois University and his Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for six years. Additionally, Don is active in his community and has volunteered for a number of organizations serving as chairman of Woodside Junior Rodeo and was chairman and founder of the Woodside Pumpkin Festival. He has also served on the board of directors for the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County, Golden Gate University, Placer County Wine and Grape Association, Victory Ranch, and the Semper Fi Association.
