Cycling Europe
Launched in August 2008, Cycling Europe is a blog that follows the cycling travels of secondary school teacher and one-time naive Touring Cyclist, Andrew P. Sykes as he sets off on a trans-continental cycling adventures from his home in England along the EuroVelo routes of Europe. The blog posts are written by Andrew P. Sykes, long distance cyclist, author, small-time eco warrior and teacher. Andrew completed his second European journey by bike in 2013 from southern Greece to southern Portugal and in 2015 he cycled from southern Spain to northern Norway. After 18 years working as a teacher of French, he left the profession in order to devote his time to travelling and writing. Since 2011 he has written three popular travelogues about cycling across the continent of Europe, the most recent of which was published by Summersdale in May 2017 ('Spain to Norway on a Bike Called Reggie'). He also edits and writes content for the CyclingEurope.org website about travelling, cycling and other related areas (the outdoors, hiking, equipment etc...).
