The travel department provides news for the Daily Mail. Audience and Readership: Target audience is between 25-60 and from high-middle class. Stories tend to be picture heavy, relying less on long-form journalism and breaking political, business and showbiz news is reported from around the globe 24 hours a day. The Health Desk creates the travel news for the Daily Mail's website. Audience and Readership: Target audience is between 25-60 and from high-middle class. Ad rates: Information on advertising can be found here. Other information: Stories are uploaded to the site on a daily basis. The team at Travel Mail work separately from the travel team of the Daily Mail and focus more on news, rather than as part of the Mail's commercial team. Stories tend to be picture heavy, relying less on long-form journalism and breaking political, business and showbiz news is reported from around the globe 24 hours a day. The Showbiz team cover all showbusiness stories featuring UK and international celebrities. The team is separate from the showbiz team of the newspaper. Stories feature online as soon as they happen, whereas the print team feature some in the paper and then on the website later. Audience and Readership: Target audience is between 25-60 and from high-middle class. Deadline: It is rolling. Each member of the team has a KPI to run a certain amount of stories everyday. Ad rates: Information on advertising can be found here. Other information: The team work on a rota basis - some will work one week from 8-5, others will work from 5-2. If PR's want stories going online straight away, they must go directly to the showbiz team. Likewise, if there is a celebrity event they want the team to attend, they should do the same. PRs should always email the showbiz team rather than call, as they rarely get the chance to speak on the phone. They love celebrity pictures, so PRs should send over whatever they think will make a good story.
