FFood to Glow
Launched in February 2011, Food to Glow is a healthy eating and food blog sharing recipes, mostly plant-based ones with the occassional decadent twist and a few fishy things sneaked in, too. When appropriate, nutritional information will be found in the posts, as well as book reviews and anecdotes. Most of all, the blog is focused on recipes. The Author of the blog is Kellie Anderson, originally from Florida, USA, but now based and living in Edinburgh, Scotland, for quite a few years now. She considers herself a "food and nutrition geek" with a background in Public Health and Epidemiology; food and health writer for Food to Glow, as well as on Huffington Post and for AO Life. Kellie is an avid recipe developer and amateur photographer; sometimes featuring on TV and radio (Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Food Feast which aired on the 8th of January 2016 and BBC Radio Scotland. The blog has different sections, including an About (an in-depth description of the blog, what can be found on the blog and Kellie herself) and Contact page (a page providing contact information), Eating in Edinburgh (this page has some of Kellie's favourite places and recommended places to eat in Edinburgh), Nutrition and Cancer (this page has all the information on nutrition, food and it's relation to cancer, including the meals that have cancer fighting ingredients and lead to better health. It also provides with information and recipes that are best for cancer patients, allocating posts to certain types of cancer, and the foods that are good for those who may be weaker after already having started or undergoing treatment) and a Recipe Index (the recipe index, providing over 400 different recipes). PR opportunities include food related matters and recipes. Kellie states "I only promote real food related products and higher-end products/services that fit my blog niche and will appeal to my health-oriented readership. I am wanting to blog more about natural beauty/health and would be interested in receiving pitches on higher-end products and services in this area." The best way to get in touch with Kellie is to email her at kellie@kelliesfoodtoglow.com.
