FORUM is a peer-reviewed journal for postgraduate students working in culture and the arts. The journal's interdisciplinary approach encourages contributions from across the spectrum of the humanities. Published annually, each edition focuses on a selected theme, provoking discussion and debate whilst maintaining an overall thematic coherency. Forum is a live call-in public affairs show airing on KQED-FM. The show broadcasts in the San Francisco Bay Area, throughout Northern California, and nationally on Sirius satellite radio. This program presents discussions of local, state, national, and international issues as well as in-depth interviews with leading figures in politics, science, entertainment, and the arts. Listeners are encouraged to call-in during the show at (866)-733-6786. The show offers RSS (Really Simple Syndication). This show offers a digital podcast. A podcast is a downloadable video or audio broadcast show. Most podcasts are available by subscription through an RSS reader or other aggregator. The fundamentals of working with podcasters are the same as with traditional journalists at traditional media outlets: respect their schedules; take time to watch or listen to their material to learn their interests; and only contact them if/when they want to be contacted.
