Background and Format: Hornby Magazine launched on March 9 2007, and is a railway model magazine. The magazine shows readers how to build a layout from scratch, including the fundamentals of baseboard construction, track laying and scenic work. They also explore the possibilities of Digital Command Control (DCC) and the benefits it brings to the hobby. It looks to educate newcomers to the hobby, helping them to develop their skills to gain as much enjoyment as they can whilst actively encouraging visiting local model railway exhibitions.
