Hospital Dr - Hospital Dr Blogs
Hospital Dr Blogs is a collective healthcare blog based in Norfolk, published by Ruby Media. It is the official blog of the website Hospital Dr which is "a daily information service for all doctors working in secondary care". Hospital Dr Blogs is made up of several blogs, both individual and group-written, that provide perspectives and opinions from healthcare professionals and organisations in the UK medical industry. The Editor of Hospital Dr is Mike Broad, a career journalist who has worked in the trade press for 14 years. He was formerly Editor of the Hospital Doctor print magazine, which closed in 2007. He also edited Community Care magazine before leaving to start Ruby Media. He lives in Norfolk with his wife, a consultant endocrinologist, and their three children. The blogs are written by various experts with Hospital Dr and numerous Guest Bloggers. The medical professionals with their own blog sections currently include: Caroline Whymark, a consultant anaesthetist based in Scotland; Bob Bury, a retired consultant radiologist; Katherine Teale, a consultant anaesthetist in Greater Manchester; Sarah Burnett-Moore, a consultant radiologist in London; Tom Goodfellow, a consultant radiologist based in Warwickshire; and Jerry Nelson, a surgeon currently on sabbatical. The blogs are divided into the individual blogs from the professionals above, as well as sections written by two healthcare organisations.
