ITV Border - Border Life
Background & Format: Border Life is a weekly magazine programme for the Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders. Fiona Armstrong presents the show which feature three items of topical stories from the region covering the people, places and stories in southern Scotland. Programme Maker: ITV News Programme format: The whole show is pre-recorded. Target audience: People living in Southern Scotland. Stats: We cannot issue audience figures due to contractual restraints. Top tips for PRs: The programme is delivered two weeks prior to transmission so to produce a date specific feature, the team requires a minimum of three weeks leadtime - four weeks is preferred. Background and Format: ITV Magazine celebrates the creative talent behind ITV’s biggest hits and original dramas, the magazine features interviews with lead actors, previews of headlining sporting events and a wealth of food, travel and fitness content inspired by your favourite television shows, including delicious recipes from Waitrose & Partners. The magazine is aimed at ITV viewers and fans of TV, it can be purchased for £1 at Waitrose, or is free for MyWaitrose members.

The broadcaster has reduced 17 news regions to nine. The new regions will be: Anglia, Central, Tyne, Tees and Border, Granada, London, Meridian, South West, Wales, Yorkshire. Anglia East and Anglia West have merged to form ITV Anglia. Border has merged with Tyne Tees North and Tyne Tees South to create ITV Tyne, Tees and Border. The separate Central East and Central West have become ITV Central and Yorkshire North and Yorkshire South have merged to become ITV Yorkshire. Westcountry and West will merge to become ITV South West. ITV Meridian will be formed from the old Meridian East, Meridian South and Thames Valley regions. The London, Wales and the Granada regions remain unchanged. Each region will have one news bulletin but some sub-regions will continue to opt out for separate news bulletins of six to 15 minutes.

Background and Format: ITV News is the branding of news programmes on the British television network ITV. ITV News broadcasts breaking stories for national, international and regional news, covering current affairs, business, politics, sport and entertainment. Since 1955, ITV's news bulletins have been produced by Independent Television News (ITN). Production Company: ITN Schedule Times: The main bulletins are broadcast daily on ITV at 1:30pm, 6:30pm and 10pm, with regional news at 6-6:30pm For weekends, bulletins are 12:25pm and 5:35pm on Saturdays and 12:25pm, 5:00pm and 10.00pm on Sundays An online schedule can be viewed here Target Audience: ITV targets viewers of all ages and backgrounds. A newsdesk meeting a takes place at 6am, with representation from the Home News, Foreign News and London News Editors, as well as the Lunchtime show A cross-company meeting takes place at 8am, with representatives from the news-arms of ITN An editorial meeting takes place at 9am, which will typically involve the Editor, the Deputy Editor, Head of Newsgathering, Head of Home News, Head of Foreign News, Programme Editors and News Editors An Evening News and News at Ten meeting is held at 2:30-3pm, to organise the running order A meeting for News at Ten will take place at 7pm The team is not keen on using B-roll as they prefer their own footage All pictures should be sent to stills@itn.co.uk, with contact details included PRs can help by getting in touch in a timely fashion - where possible, two weeks in advance is ideal. A follow-up is also a good idea. Art topics tend to get greater coverage when there's a new hook. These stories usually appear on News at 10, but must be newsworthy.
