ITV Wales
Background and Format: ITV Wales, previously known as HTV, is the ITV contractor for Wales and the West of England, owned and operated by ITV plc from studios in Bristol and Cardiff. Airing regional news and current affairs, business, politics, sport and entertainment. On weekdays, there are three short bulletins during Daybreak at 6:08, 7:08 and 8:08 with a 6 minute lunchtime bulletin ad 13:55, following the ITV news at 13:30. The main half-hour programme airs at 18:00 with a 8-minute late bulletin for both Anglia sub-regions at 22:30, following the ITV News at Ten. The broadcaster has reduced 17 news regions to nine. The new regions will be: Anglia, Central, Tyne, Tees and Border, Granada, London, Meridian, South West, Wales, Yorkshire. Anglia East and Anglia West have merged to form ITV Anglia. Border has merged with Tyne Tees North and Tyne Tees South to create ITV Tyne, Tees and Border. The separate Central East and Central West have become ITV Central and Yorkshire North and Yorkshire South have merged to become ITV Yorkshire. Westcountry and West will merge to become ITV South West. ITV Meridian will be formed from the old Meridian East, Meridian South and Thames Valley regions. The London, Wales and the Granada regions remain unchanged. Each region will have one news bulletin but some sub-regions will continue to opt out for separate news bulletins of six to 15 minutes.

ITV Wales - Wales Tonight
Background and format: Wales Tonight is the flagship news programme in the ITV Wales region. Formerly known as HTV News and ITV Wales News, it broadcasts at 6pm every weeknight. Programme Maker: ITV Broadcasting Limited Pre-recorded?: Live Showing Schedule Times: ITV Wales News airs on ITV1 Wales seven days a week. Three short bulletins are broadcast during GMTV. The mid-morning bulletin airs at 11:10am, immediately after an ITV News Summary, during This Morning, this update airs for around 10 minutes. The lunchtime edition of the programme follows on from the ITV Lunchtime News, giving a five minute round-up of the days developments between 1.55pm and 2.00pm. The main evening edition of Wales Tonight begins at 6.00pm, and ends at 6.30pm. The late edition of Wales Tonight broadcasts after News at Ten, airing between 10.25pm and 10.35pm, Mondays to Thursdays, and between 11.25pm and 11.35pm on Fridays, after The Late News. ITV Wales News airs four bulletins at weekends: two on Saturday, at lunchtime, and late afternoon, and two on Sunday: at lunchtime and the evening edition, usually at 6:25pm.
