La Opinión Online is the digital edition of the daily Spanish language newspaper for the Hispanic community of the Los Angeles area. It provides residents with information on local news, weather, sports and more. It maintains a commitment to diversity and immigration, as well as other issues specific to the Los Angeles Latino community. The paper is one of the most widely read and longest running Spanish-language newspapers in the country. It was first published in 1926. Previously focused on Mexico and Mexican and Mexican-American issues, the paper now serves a broader Hispanic readership with coverage of news and cultural topics from Central and South America, Cuba, Puerto Rico and The United States, in addition to international wire content.
