Sunderland Echo - Business
Background and Format: There is a business page in every Monday edition of the main paper, covering the local area only. It consist mainly of business news snippets rather than longer features. There is also a supplement on the last Tuesday of every month called "Portfolio", which extends across 16-32 pages depending on supporting advertising. The supplement is predominantly local, but also covers the wider regions of County Durham and Tyneside. Photography for both these sections should be submitted as colour jpegs. Kevin Clark is the contact for this section. He rarely attends press trips as he is the only reporter covering business at the paper and doesn't have the time but he is always open to ideas. Johnston Press North East also holds a yearly event for the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Business Awards.
