Foreign Office blogs provide a place for officials and Ministers to engage in a direct and informal dialogue with public audiences about international affairs and the work of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The FCO want their blogs to be personal, real time, integrated with other things they’re doing, responsive to comments, and written for particular (sometime niche) audiences. The blogs are personal and attributed - they are all written by the named authors. Some are written by ministers, some by ambassadors, some by staff on particular themes. Some are about particular foreign policy issues, some cover a range of our work. Some of the bloggers are on their officially branded websites, some are hosted on other web platforms. Most of the blogs are written in English, but some of our bloggers write in local languages. The blog entries feature local and international stories as the FCO site hosts blogs located throughout the world.
