It broadcasts throughout the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands on FM, LW and DAB, and on BBC Sounds. Radio 4 skews towards an older audience.

Launched in 1783, The Herald is published by Newsquest daily and is aimed at readers in Glasgow and throughout Scotland. Covers news, politics, business, sport, arts, theatre, property and motoring. Its sister newspaper is The Evening Times. It launched a Sunday edition in September 2018.
