A free lifestyle magazine has been launched in Scotland’s capital to give the glossies a run for their money. The monthly magazine, i-on-Edinburgh, has been set up by a magazine journalist from Edinburgh and a colleague who have spent several years working for the Spanish media. Aimed at well-off young professionals, it will feature topics such as property, restaurant and pub guides and fashion and is the first time a free magazine in the capital has gone head-to-head with paid-for titles such as Elle, Vogue and Marie Claire. The first 10,000 copies of the monthly magazine will be distributed in upmarket bars, restaurants, hotels, shops, gyms and hair salons.
