The Iain Dale blog is described as “a unique brand of political commentary, humour and gossip.” The blog carries daily scoops and opinions that are read by more than 130,000 people each month.
Iain is a Political Commentator who regularly appears on television and radio and hosts a weeknight evening show on LBC 97.3 FM. He also has a football blog called West Ham Till I Die and contributes to various publications including The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and the Eastern Daily Press. Iain was a former Financial Journalist and a Political Lobbyist before setting up a political bookselling and publishing company called Politico’s in the late 90s. He has previously stood as a Conservative candidate and was Chief of Staff to the Rt Hon David Davis MP in the 2005 Conservative Party leadership election. In addition to politics and journalism, Iain has ventured into the world of theatre and is the creator and host of a touring production called A Night With Ann Widdecombe. He is also the Founder of the Conservative History Group, Co-Director of the Campaign for Fixed Term Parliaments and an experienced public speaker.
The majority of posts are called The Daley Dozen which is a list of links to 12 political stories from around the web. He also writes about what will be coming up on his LBC radio show and posts quotes related to politics and current affairs.
