The Daily Mail was founded in 1896 and is owned by Associated Newspapers. It was nominated National Newspaper of the Year in March 2003. It features a combination of comprehensive and incisive news coverage, detailed analysis of world-wide issues and daily features covering topics about today's lifestyle. The Investigations Desk of the Daily Mail produces long-form features on a variety of subjects, generally involving questionable financial practices. Investigations have included tax avoidance by senior NHS staff, issues with pension sales and investigations of charity fundraising.
Audience and Readership:
Target audience is between 25-60 and from high-middle class.
Deadline:
Around 7pm (no strict time), but if it is a very important story or breaking news, it will be published in a later edition.
