JancisRobinson.com is the personal website and blog of Jancis Robinson OBE, an award-winning Wine Expert and Connoisseur. The blog provides wine reviews, thoughts and more from Jancis and her team. It also has members-only content under the name Purple Pages. JancisRobinson.com receives roughly 60,000 unique visitors per month.
Jancis' storied career in the food and wine industry was spurred on by a year she spent in Provence in the 1970s. A widely published Writer on wine, Jancis has a weekly wine column in the Financial Times, published every Saturday, and a bi-monthly column syndicated in numerous publications around the world, including California's The San Francisco Chronicle, Brazil's Prazeres da Mesa, and Korea's Noblesse. Author of more than a dozen books and guides to wines, she is also Editor of The Oxford Companion to Wine and Co-Author with Hugh Johnson of The World Atlas of Wine. Among her many broadcast appearances she has featured in Channel 4's The Wine Programme, the BBC's Jancis Robinson's Wine Course, and Charlie Rose in the US. In 2003 she was awarded an OBE and advises on the Queen's wine cellar.
JancisRobinson.com is a mixture of a personal business website, informative resources, members-only content, blogs and news articles. Included under the heading "Free for all" are all articles from Jancis' Financial Times column and her syndicated column, as well as articles specific to the blog. "Wines of the week" includes profiles and reviews of new, different, or notable wines, posted every Friday. Most entries are written by Jancis with contributions from her team. Her husband Nick Lander, a Restaurant Critic, has his own column, "Nick on Restaurants", covering both local and European venues. "Travel tips" includes entries such as "Five top destinations for the wine tourist" or "Eating out in Languedoc-Roussillon". There are also smaller sections for videos (including clips from Jancis' TV programmes) and recommended books and DVDs.
