ProPublica is an independent, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest. It covers a range of topics, such as government and politics, business, criminal justice, the environment, education, health care, immigration, and technology.

WRAL-TV is the local NBC affiliate for the greater Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The station broadcasts locally on channel 5 and is a sister-station to Raleigh's Fox affiliate, WRAZ-TV. WRAL-TV hit the airwaves in 1956 as an NBC affiliate and switched to ABC affiliation in 1962. The station swapped networks again in 1985, this time with CBS, before returning to NBC in 2016.

Geared toward young adults interested in news of popular music, entertainment and the arts, current news events, politics and American culture. Aims "to get our readers the news about who's made it, who's hot and who's on the leading edge." Provides reviews of new music, concerts and movies, technological innovations in audio and video, and interviews with artists, musicians and other pop culture figures. Includes fashion trends and lifestyle pieces, as well as commentary on political, social and legislative issues.

WPVI-TV is the ABC affiliate for the Philadelphia market and broadcasts locally on channel 6. The station produces several local newscasts throughout the day that feature hard news, weather, and sports from the greater Philadelphia area. In addition, there are several feature segments that air throughout the week. WPVI-TV first signed on-air as WFIL-TV in 1947. Before being picked up by ABC Television Network, WFIL was home to Dick Clark and American Bandstand (then known only as Bandstand) from 1952-57. The station assumed its current call letters in 1971.
