About
Bio
Established in January 2017, we are a blog dedicated to providing information and inspiration to women over 40 who want to have a baby, are already pregnant or are parenting in midlife. In the founders own words: "Of Saffron & Cyrus is somewhere I can share my personal story as a new mum over 40 to inspire and empower others to overcome their fears. The site is somewhere I can reach out to other new mums, perhaps on a multicultural journey of their own, who might also see their own reflections in my writing. It’s a great place for experts to share advice, mums and bloggers to share birth and parenting stories, individuals to share multicultural tips and companies and brands to tell their story. We’re all here to support one another, no matter who we are or where we are in the world. I initially devised the blog because I found very little positive support in Cyberspace when I was pregnant at 40. I could have done with knowing there were others out there the same age, sharing similar positive experiences."
Key Statistics of the blog:
Page one Google ranking for keywords “Midlife mum” and “Mum over 40”
More than 5,000 unique site visits per month
5,382+ followers on Twitter over two accounts
118 followers on Facebook
More than 3,000 connections on LinkedIn

Good Housekeeping
Good Housekeeping is published by Hearst and written for the contemporary homemaker. Articles focus on food, nutrition, fashion, beauty, relationships, home decorating, health, child care, and other consumer and social issues. Each issue delivers a unique mix of inspirational and personal stories, trusted information, and closely researched investigations and reports. Also there are tips for getting organized, and recipes for quick, healthy meals. While they don't designate a part of the magazine for green coverage they do take environmental considerations into account throughout each issue, so pitch accordingly. When sending green products be sure that they save readers time and money. Pitch recycling topics and remember that value and quality are most important to readers. Avoid sending too many luxury items as they rarely, if ever, cover luxury goods or services. When pitching products always be mindful of the staffs' deadlines. They typically work three to four months in advance. Be sure to include price, availability and other pertinent shopping details.
