Rachel Andrew's blog centres on web development.
Author of the self titled blog, Rachel, is the Managing Director and founder of web development company edgeofmyseat.com. Through her endeavours Rachel has appeared as a guest speaker at conferences on numerous occasions covering subjects such as responsible use of CSS, to providing technical support, to launching a product business. Rachel has also regularly authored or co-authored a number of books and articles for on and offline publications. In her down time Rachel's interests include delving into her family history and religious studies, to which she has gained a First Class degree in Humanities with Religious Studies from the Open University. Rachel also has second blog where she documents her running progress as she trains for and competes in half marathons.
Rachel states her professional skills range from "front and back-end development to operations" readers can therefore expect content of this nature. Previous posts include: 'But what about the old browsers?', 'Modern CSS layout, power and responsibility' and 'Development environments, configuration management and deployment'. Rachel adds new content sporadically from month to month.
