The team of editors work with university and research institute experts. The aim is to allow for better understanding of current affairs and complex issues and hopefully allow for a better quality of public discourse and conversations.The Conversation launched in Australia in March 2011 and was launched in the UK in 2013. The Conversation UK is a distinct site, focused on issues of relevance to a local audience. The UK version is funded by City University, the Australian version is funded by the Government.
