Background and Format: Founded in 1977, 2000 AD is a 32-page weekly sci-fi, cult comic at the cutting edge of contemporary pop culture. Packed with imaginative stories, black humour and sensational art, its fan base has been expanding over the last 25 years. Each issue - or 'prog', short for 'programme' - usually contains around five stories of five to six pages per episode.
