Dundee West End
Launched in March 2006, Dundee West End is a blog that follows the work of Councillor Fraser Macpherson. He states that the "idea of the blog was really to take account of the fact that a lot happens in the area and only a limited amount of that can be reflected in the FOCUS or on my website reports. When I set it up in March 2006, it was a bit of an experiment but loads of people have said it would be useful to get a very regular update on local issues. It is extremely well read and I'll continue to regularly update everybody with the latest West End news". The blog posts are written by Fraser Macpherson, LibDem councillor for Dundee's West End Ward (Ward 3). He has been on the Council since 2001 and was first elected to represent the former Tay Bridges Ward in the eastern part of the West End. He was re-elected there in 2003 with a large majority. In the 2007 elections in the new West End Ward, he topped the poll and represented the West End for the next four years. Fraser has served as the Council’s Education Convener, Finance Convener and Planning & Transport Convener. Previous entries in the Dundee West End blog include: The Shrubbery - 200th Anniversary, Dundee Design Festival 2017, 204 bus - Roseangle closure arrangements, Weekly Road Report - West End Ward, The University on Screen and Friends of Wighton update. He tends to post daily. PR opportunities include news and interviews related to Politics and News & Current Affairs, especially Scotland and Dundee West End. Fraser can best be reached via post, telephone, email or his social media platforms. His office number is +44(0)1382 434 985.
