Background and Format: Money Marketing is a weekly title that covers banking, finance, investment and wealth management. It covers news and analysis from the industry, fund data and opinion pieces, and among the topics covered are protection, equity release, tax planning, offshore, politics and pensions. It has a particularly strong emphasis on covering financial regulation, and also anticipates expanding its technology content. Previously a pink-coloured newspaper, it relaunched in April 2014 in magazine format. Working under a new tagline, ‘Trusted insight for professional advisers’, Money Marketing also added an image-led front page and a ‘Must Read’ round-up of its most major features. Previously published by Centaur Media PLC, it was acquired by Metropolis Group in April 2019. Audience and Readership: Targets professional financial advisers throughout the UK, as well as financial services professionals with an interest in regulation, legislation and technology. Deadline: Editorial deadline is on Tuesday, prior to going to print. The first news meeting is on Wednesday at 10.30am, where ideas are pitched. An additional news meeting takes place on Friday lunchtime, with a final meeting on Monday afternoon prior to the final copy being filed. Time of Publication: Published on Wednesdays in London, and Thursdays throughout the rest of the country.
