Rainy Day Mum
Rainy Day Mum is a parenting-focused blog about creating activities with young children. Rainy Day Mum was founded in June 2011 by Cerys Parker. Cerys describes herself as "the sort of person who can't sit still and do nothing." As well as blogging she's also a marine biologist, environmental educator, computer science teacher, mum, crafter, writer, cook and gardener. Cerys says "Back in 2011 I sat with my 2 kids, then 3 months and 21 months old looking for ideas to do with them on the Internet I discovered a few ideas that were “Toddler Ideas” but as I sat there I discovered that nothing that we did looked anything like the crafts had or the activities despite being toddler were aimed at much older children. I then started to explore what I could do and decided to start Rainy Day Mum and share those ideas." Sections on the site include kids crafts, Hands-on learning, activities, learning with nature, book based activities, recipes, family travel, Days out, life as a mum and a store. Posts on Rainy Day Mum are added several times a week. You can also find the blog on Pinterest here. PR opportunities on the site include reviews. Cerys can be reached via email here or the contact form. Awards: 2018 - UK Blog Awards, Parent & Baby - Individuals (winner) 2017 - UK Blog Awards, Parenting (nominated)
