The Economist Group has launched its new magazine, 1843. The magazine will have expanded content and sections on culture, technology, style and design, food and drink, travel, and body and mind. It will be distributed bi-monthly to The Economist's most engaged subscribers - 460,000 globally curious, highly educated people around the world - and is designed to speak to them when they have their feet up, on a weekend break, on holiday. 1843 is already available on news stands in the UK, in the US from 15 March and across the rest of the world from mid-March. Under its Editor, Edward Carr, Intelligent Life will explore the passions and pleasures of the 21st century: from travel and food, to philanthropy and health and from fashion and shopping, to design and the arts. The magazine is now available on news stands in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Intelligent Life will be sold separately to The Economist and will cost £4.95/€7.50.
