Background and Format: Official website of the National Aids Manual (NAM). NAM> aidsmap is the website of NAM, a community-based HIV information provider who provide a range of information resources about HIV and AIDS in many different formats. The aidsmap website strives to be a source of independent, accurate information on HIV and AIDS. Its primary aim is to reach people living with HIV all over the world and to make available quality information on HIV, free of charge to everyone, everywhere, at anytime. NAM> aidsmap endeavours to publish news stories daily and to provide information on new studies, new research, new discoveries and new controversies. The editors use journals, conferences and other sources of reliable, evidence-based news and make the often complex information accessible and readable in the form of original news stories on the website. It is complemented by email bulletins, daily HIV news and reporting from major HIV/AIDS conferences, as well as specific resources for medical professionals.
