Baby Budgeting is a blog that carries news, features, information and advice on parenting and how to budget for your family as a parent. In addition to parenting and budgeting advice the blog carries information on making and saving money.
Nottingham-based Blogger Becky Goddard-Hill describes herself as a “mum and homemaker” who lives with her husband Jonny and two children Frankie and Annalise. Becky, now a full-time mum, previously worked as a Social Worker and a Child and Social Care Training Development Officer for Nottingham City Council Social Services. In these roles she specialised in writing and delivering training in child development and child communication courses. She is also a qualified Psychotherapist and has mainly worked with young people and mothers. Becky says that her ambitions are to stay off work to raise her children and to be happy and fulfilled in her family life which is reflected in the content of the blog, which was started in 2009.
Blog posts vary in format with some taking the form of news, information or advice and others consisting of reviews. News and information posts are detailed and explain developments in areas relating to parenting and child care. Reviews give background information on a product or service and include a verdict. Categories include Making Money, Saving Money, Play & Reading, Crafts, Parenting Tips, Book Reviews, Profiles, Special Occasions, Inspiration, Product Reviews and Competitions. Posts are added several times a week, often accompanied with images.
PR opportunities include survey-based research placement, brand name and product placement, expert comment and advice, product reviews and book reviews.
