Background and Format: Bioscience Law Review is a bi-monthly legal journal. It provides practical information for lawyers advising on bio-science and bio-technology enterprises, and coovers the legal protection and approval of new technologies. Each issue features an editorial section containing articles, commentaries on specific cases or legislation, letters and book reviews, and also a news section carrying national and international reports from contributors worldwide. Audience and Readership: Targets IP lawyers, patent agents, R&D departments, in-house legal advisers, regulatory agencies, legal researchers and law libraries. Deadline: Middle of the month prior to publication. Publicists should feel free to pitch anytime, although they should avoid pitching individual products or new company officer announcements. They should focus on science-based stories that are better told be a journalist than an expert. Email is always the preferred method for pitching. Writers should explain their idea and list the sources they plan to speak with. Also include one or two clips, or links to online writing samples. Editors try to respond in two to three weeks, but if you haven't heard back within a month feel free to follow up.
