Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel is a 60-minute monthly sports program that airs at various times, usually between two and four times per week, on HBO. Each show includes in-depth profiles and features that go beyond the box scores and statistics to take a provocative and entertaining look at the world of contemporary sports. Each episode features two investigative reports and two sports personality profiles. RealSports features a line up of renowned sports journalists providing reports, including Jack Whitaker, Frank Deford, Armen Keteyian, Lesley Visser, Mary Carillo, and Jim Lampley. The show is hosted by television veteran Bryant Gumbel and was launched in April 1995. In general, producers work on a four to six week lead time.
