About

Bio

Fuss Free Flavours is a food and drink blog that mainly caters for people with a vegan diet. The blog carries news and views, recipes, product reviews, competitions and how-to guides and techniques. Blogger Helen Best-Shaw has a natural passion for food and drink and enjoys “reading about food, preparing food, eating food and then blogging about food”. She does not claim to be a chef and says that she prefers a fuss-free approach to cooking. Despite the blog now covering mainly vegan food, Helen does not follow a vegan diet but has discovered that she feels far healthier eating a primarily plant-based diet. She believes that meat and animal products are not essential to every meal and that when they are included they should be organic and free range. Helen lives in West London. Blog posts cover anything to do with food and will often be linked to an event or a holiday such as a major royal wedding or Easter. The majority of posts are product-led and include images. They will be reviews of the product or book and will offer background information and sometimes pricing information. Helen also posts news and updates of blogging events she holds such as the recent Breakfast Club, where a different food Blogger hosts breakfast recipes from the others on their blog. PR opportunities include product placement, reviews, competitions and giveaways. Helen has stated that when holding competitions and giveaways she is happy to include products that she has sampled and is happy to endorse for her readers. When she receives products free of charge for review she will state that this is the case in the blog post and will make it clear that she did not pay for the item. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of products that Helen is asked to review and feature, they may not be featured on the site immediately. With regards to recipes, Helen likes to write and publish recipes using products that she is sent for review. She is also happy to be invited to events that involve the promotion of products, books and restaurants among others and any posts in relation to this will state that she was invited as a guest. Please note that all opinions in reviews and giveaways will be Helen’s own and honest appraisal of a product or a service.
