Bio

Greedy Gourmet is an independently owned food and drink blog based in the UK and was founded in March 2007 by Essex-based Blogger and Food Critic Michelle Minnaar. It combines restaurant reviews, recipes, travel diaries and other features and now receives over 100,000 page views a month. Originally from South Africa, Michelle married an Englishman and moved to the UK in 2004. She started the blog due to what she says was “the lack of good restaurants” in the East of England. She prefers "making things from scratch, using fresh and natural ingredients" and tries to minimise the wheat and dairy in her diet due to moderate intolerances. Michelle is also a Food Photographer and the blog features copious original photos. Greedy Gourmet's extensive archive is divided into: Recipes by Batch Cooking, Personal, Cooking Times, Courses, Cuisines, Giveaways, Recipes By Dish, Special Diets, Sponsors, Travel. Recipes come from all regions of the world and reviews mainly cover Essex and London. In addition to restaurants reviews cover books, food products, cookery courses and others. The Special Diets section includes recipes that are dairy free, gluten free, lactose free, wheat free, low fat, low sodium, vegan or vegetarian. Michelle also sometimes posts personal updates about her life. She also has an online shop specialising in baking accessories Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE www.greedygourmet.com/shop

The blog covers all things Food, including Restaurant reviews, How-tos, Tips, Recipes and more. The fundamentals of working with bloggers are the same as with traditional journalists at traditional media outlets: respect their schedules; take time to read their material to learn their interests; and only contact them if/when they want to be contacted. You will also find that if a blogger is a journalist for another outlet(s), Cision tracks their contact preferences there as well. The outlet offers RSS (Really Simple Syndication).
