About

Bio

This blog is dedicated to bringing news and analysis of the energy choices, technologies, products, issues and policies related to sustainable mobility to the public. Covers trends, statistics, solar energy, the automotive industry, natural gas, Environmental Protection Agency and the global economy. The fundamentals of working with bloggers are the same as with traditional journalists at traditional media outlets: respect their schedules; take time to read their material to learn their interests; and only contact them if/when they want to be contacted. You will also find that if a blogger is a journalist for another outlet(s), Cision tracks their contact preferences there as well. The outlet offers RSS (Really Simple Syndication). PR opportunities are limited as the blog is less commercial and aims to become the leading source to which readers depend on for useful information, to foster and facilitate the interaction, exchange and community within and across market segments, and to support successfully the adoption of sustainable energy solutions. The Editor is however available for contact and can be best reached via email.

  • Good Housekeeping
    Good Housekeeping

Good Housekeeping is published by Hearst and written for the contemporary homemaker. Articles focus on food, nutrition, fashion, beauty, relationships, home decorating, health, child care, and other consumer and social issues. Each issue delivers a unique mix of inspirational and personal stories, trusted information, and closely researched investigations and reports. Also there are tips for getting organized, and recipes for quick, healthy meals. While they don't designate a part of the magazine for green coverage they do take environmental considerations into account throughout each issue, so pitch accordingly. When sending green products be sure that they save readers time and money. Pitch recycling topics and remember that value and quality are most important to readers. Avoid sending too many luxury items as they rarely, if ever, cover luxury goods or services. When pitching products always be mindful of the staffs' deadlines. They typically work three to four months in advance. Be sure to include price, availability and other pertinent shopping details.

    Car and Driver

Car and Driver presents the latest new cars, vans, SUV's, and pickups, both imports and domestics, with an emphasis on those cars made for the man or woman who knows the rewards that an outstanding automobile can bring to its driver. Editorial examines in detail new technology, new directions, and new ideas put forth by the automotive industry and takes a diversified approach to the vehicles they cover, ranging from practical, to the exotic, to the opinionated. Their mission is to provide the best written, most accurate, and most thorough reporting on automobiles available. The publication was originally founded as Sports Cars Illustrated in 1955. In its early years, the magazine focused primarily on small, imported sports cars. In 1961, Editor Karl Ludvigsen renamed the magazine Car and Driver to show a more general automotive focus. 2005 marked the 50th anniversary of the publication. The magazine is notable for its irreverent tone and habit of "telling it like it is," especially with regard to underperforming automobiles. The magazine was one of the first to be unabashedly critical of the American automakers. However, it has been quick to praise noteworthy efforts like the Ford Focus and Chevrolet Corvette.
