Background and Format: Healthcare Markets is a monthly UK publication for the acute independent healthcare sector. It aims to feature up-to-date business activities across the sector, covering hospitals and primary care providers, mental healthcare provision, cosmetic surgery, flexible staffing providers and the private medical insurance market. Healthcare Markets seeks to cast a forensic eye over independent acute care services delivered both in hospitals (private and NHS) and other environments including patients’ own homes. The title also provides coverage of services and practices within mental healthcare hospitals, primary care service delivery and the move to the recently implemented GP commissioning model. It also looks at the healthcare insurance, occupational health and wellness markets. All coverage is addressed in terms of the role that central government plays as well as developments within the sector with regard to new practices and merger and acquisition activity.
