Honolulu Civil Beat has opened a bureau in Washington, D.C., making it the only Hawaii-based news organization with a full-time Reporter in the nation's capital. The bureau will be staffed by Adrienne LaFrance, who is leaving her post as the Civil Beat's City Government Reporter. Previously, she worked as a News Anchor for Hawaii Public Radio, as the Managing Editor of Honolulu Weekly and a Producer for WBUR-FM (Boston, MA).
