    A&E

    A&E is a network that brings viewers the "Art of Entertainment" through a combination of three genres: biography, documentary and drama. A&E offers a diverse mix of programming ranging from original movies, to relevant documentary specials and series including the Emmy Award-winning series Biography, to dramatic series and contemporary performances. In 2002, A&E, which uses the slogan "Escape the Ordinary," won six Emmy awards. Since A+E Networks launched in 1984, it has received 88 CableACE Awards. PR professionals are advised to send story ideas to the producer of the appropriate A&E program. Submissions for program ideas should be made by mail. A&E does not air talk shows, game shows, nature programs, infomercials, interview shows, cooking shows or magazine shows. A&E reaches over 92 million homes. Parent company rebranded its name from A&E Television Network to A+E Networks in May 2011.

    Background and Format: Launched in 1969, Travel Weekly (originally published as Travel News) is published by Travel Weekly Group weekly and is aimed at professionals who work in the travel industry ranging from those who work in call centres to travel consultants. Covers special reports on airports, disabled tourists and news for tour operators, travel agents, cruise lines and airlines.  It also has a sister publication, The Caterer.     Established in 1958 and written for U.S. travel agents, tour operators, corporate travel executives, and travel industry suppliers. Covers airline, lodging, packaged travel, tourist-focused rail and cruise industry news. Also covers news from major regional and national travel agencies and agent networks, as well as travel agent trade associations. The publication works to "help agencies increase profits, sell specific destinations or niche markets, as well as educate the industry about current news and trends." Specific topics covered include hotels, resorts, cruises, destinations, car rentals, rail travel, airlines, incentive travel, technology, meetings, agency management and government. In addition to travel industry news, the newspaper offers destination sections designed to promote travel sales to those areas. The destination sections, called Selling [Destination], offer information about notable attractions, tours, accommodations and cruises in the area. Frequently publishes special topic supplements dedicated to specific destinations or types of travel, which are listed in the publication's editorial calendar. Regular sections include: Agent Life, covering personal and professional issues affecting travel agents; Business Travel, offering news and trends specific to business-oriented travel; Airport News; Meetings and Incentives, covering meeting planning and incentive travel; Technology, covering travel industry-related technology of interest to industry professionals, such as reservation systems and travel booking Web sites and Clipboard, featuring industry infographics, short reference information items and bullet point highlights of various destinations.
