Provides up-to-date insight to the booming healthcare construction and design industry, including healthcare architecture. Focuses on giving a balanced look at the fundamental components of design, engineering, construction and management/maintenance of healthcare facilities. Medical Construction & Design DOES accept bylined articles/submissions. In order to begin the process, contact the Editor for the Writers Questionnaire to make your submission. All theme articles are 1,000 to 1,200 words. Word count does not include (optional) two sidebars of no more than 300 words. Articles must be based upon the issue’s theme. Spotlight articles are 1,000 to 1,200 words. Word count does not include (optional) two sidebars of no more than 300 words. Feature articles are 1,000 to 1,500 words. Word count does not include (optional) one sidebar of no more than 300 words. Feature articles are completely be independent from the theme articles that will be the focus of the issue. Desired stories include new and innovative ideas and approaches being taken in the medical construction and design industry. Anyone is encouraged to send press releases and photos for consideration of inclusion into a department. No matter the length and brevity of a press release, all contents in the departments will be edited to no more than 250 words. One 'green news' brief will be approximately 500 words. Each issue will also feature a product news focus that has been predetermined and is identified in the editorial calendar. MCD accepts case studies centered on a product or service used in a healthcare project, with priority given to advertisers. Case studies must be between 500-600 words and include 2-4 high-resolution (300 dpi) jpeg photos, along with photo captions. All deadlines are determined by the editor. Generally, all materials are due approximately 45 days before the publication month.
