Established in 1977 as a forum for the seasoned professionals and those trying to break into the music and recording industry. Targets songwriters, producers, studio managers, agents, attorneys, publicists and label executives. Covers all aspects important to those in the music industry, including current events, interviews with top recording artists, corporate news, performances, trends and record reviews. Contains feature-length stories that provide information to aid musicians, tips on dealing with attorneys, finding a manager and other career advice. Features include roundtable discussions with industry experts. Also includes a calendar of industry events, club and demo reviews, industry news and a directory of recording studios, major and independent labels, TV and movie music, rehearsal studios and the A&R [Artist & Repertoire] personnel of record labels.
