Background and Format: My Fashion Life is a commercial fashion and beauty blog with a global approach to style and culture. The blog is based in the UK, although it has a global audience. The blog is produced and published by My Life Media Ltd. The blog has had several testimonials from major publications including the Daily Mail, who say: "The blog features a host of useful information such as diary dates for upcoming fashion-related events and tips on those secret designer sample sales, as well as very personal hints on shopping and trends." Further to that the guardian said: "The site, which tracks catwalk designers and street fashion, is tipped increasingly as an industry resource." In 2011 the blog won the Best Independent Magazine Site award in Handbag's Online Fashion Awards. The site is updated daily with news, exclusive interviews, emerging trends and takes inspiration from both designers and high street fashion. The blog is broken down into several sectors including News, Fashion, Beauty, Celebrity, Hot Deals, Shopping, Interviews and Handbag Hunting. Within those sections there are a number of features at the blog regularly runs, for example Deal of the Day, Streetstyle, Steep vs Cheap, Editor's Picks, Lunchtime Buy, Buy of the Week, Look of the Week and Get The Look. The type of celebrities that the blog features includes Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Rihanna, Kate Middleton, Beyonce, Alexa Chung, Kim Kardashian and Michelle Obama. The blog boasts a lot of Q&A style interviews with supermodels, fashion designers, celebrities and well known names within the fashion industry. My Fashion Life is a mix between an online magazine and a commercial blog, the Editor Michele says, "You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed at 5am after the Oscars - we're delighted to be bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster." The blog says that they love designer fashion however they love a bargain too: "so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we'll be traipsing to Topshop the next."
