Launched in August 2009, Nurture Store focuses on providing over 1000 creative kid learning ideas that parents can use to give their children a better start in life. Nurture Store focus on child-led, hands-on, creative learning. Their activities promote a whole-brain, multi-sensory approach, with special appreciation for art, imagination and play. The author of the blog shares resources here at Nurture Store. The Founder and blogger at Nurture Store is Cathy James, a mother of two living in the UK. She spent her whole career working in training and coaching, working with babies, toddlers, preschoolers, primary and secondary school pupils, as well as adults. She used to teach English and run a reputable daycare, as well as hosting a school gardening club and working in a preschool creche, before finally writing books and creating Nurture UK. The blog contains many different sections including About (more information about what Nurture Store provides and the face behind it all), Activities (including posts on active games, animals, baby activities, bedtime, construction and more), Art and Craft (with posts on clay, cardboard boxes, chalk, collage, model making, painting and more), By Age (posts that are relevant to children by age, divided in categories of 3-5 years, 5 and older, 8 and older, Baby and Toddler), Festivals (posts focusing on festivities such as birthdays, bonfire night, Chinese new year, Easter and more), Language (focusing on the alphabet, books and reading, poetry and more), Math (with posts on times tables, fractions, counting and general addition and subtraction techniques), Sensory (things related to the senses such as smell as well as posts on play dough, recipes for play and sensory tubs) and The Garden Classroom (a page linking to the offer of a garden classroom, where more information can be found out about it).
