Background and Format: Launched in 2003, Olive is a monthly food and cookery lifestyle magazine published by Immediate Media. Each issue features easy recipes that have been triple-tested so they work first time. Regular features include detailed descriptions of how to cook a week’s suppers for £35, create quick after work meals and weekend cooking ideas.The magazine also includes nationwide restaurant recommendations including pro versus punter, in which the magazine invites readers to review the latest opening. Their travel pages feature affordable trips to foodie destinations and recipes from around the world to try at home. There is also a diary page, competition page, profile opportunities and shopping/mixed product pages. The magazine is aimed at and largely has a female following (72%), of which 65% are parents and have an average income of £33k (Source: Publisher).
