Background and Format:
Passenger Ship Technology provides coverage of cruise ships, ferries and fast ferries operating anywhere in the world. Passenger Ship Technology begun life in 1997 as Speed at Sea, before evolving into Ferry Technology and incorporating it's sister title The Cruise Ship in 2008. The quarterly journal is a digest exclusively focusing on technology used in passenger shipping. As an active member of Interferry and the UK’s Passenger Shipping Association, Passenger Ship Technology aims to ensure that readers are kept completely up to date with industry developments. As well as receiving a printed copy of Passenger Ship Technology, subscribers are also entitled to access an online digital version, journal archive and website which includes news and general information about the global passenger ship industry streamed in from over 60 online sources.
Audience and Readership:
The journal is read by technical and operational managers responsible for operating and maintaining their existing passenger vessels and the design and build of all new tonnage.

Passenger Ship Technology’s editor, Clive Woodbridge, has been joined by editor-in-chief Susan Parker, well known throughout the cruise shipping business, and deputy editor Clare Nicholls, who is one of Riviera Maritime Media’s in-house editors. Susan provides an experienced perspective on today’s cruise ship industry, enabling her to address the issues that matter to this sector. Clare is focusing on ferry coverage, which includes a section of the journal specifically about fast ferries.\

The Cruise Ship and Ferry Technology have merged to form a new title, Passenger Ship Technology. The new magazine will incorporate both cruise ship- and ferry technology-based coverage including interviews with key industry owners, operators and suppliers, market analysis, technical product reviews, ship descriptions, safety reviews and accident reports. The magazine will be bi-monthly and launch with the August/September issue. Emma Roberts has stepped down from her position as Editor of Ferry Technology.
