Gorkana Alert: Wednesday 13th December 2006
Since the publication of the 2004 spending review, the issue of efficiency has shot to the top of the public sector agenda. The stringent targets imposed by Sir Peter Gershon have ushered in a raft of new technology, introduced a wave of complex terms to the public sector lexicon, and engendered a spirit of rigour and prudence throughout Britain’s local and central government.
In its revamped format, Public Sector Executive will explain and assess the public sector’s efficiency drive, and feature regular interviews with the leading authorities on public spending. Advertisers will be invited to discuss their own contribution to the efficiency campaign, and complement our expert articles with their first-hand insight.
Public Sector Executive will relaunch in January and will feature sections on Management, Software, e-Government, Training and Development, Procurement, PFI/PPP partnerships, Shared Services and Innovation and will offer a more comprehensive look at public spending. The Editor is Gareth Platt and he can be reached on +44 (0)161 833 6320 and newsdesk@publicsectorexecutive.com
