Publishing Perspectives is dedicated to creating an open dialogue with readers and publishing industry members. They like to hear what readers think about current trends, industry news, and the future of publishing. They welcome comments on stories and articles, as well as letters to the editor and additional feedback. They publish a number of different e-newsletters, including: Publishing Perspectives Daily Email Edition Delivered Monday through Friday, the email edition contains an original feature story, a discussion question, and international news, reviews and updates. Each is fully “actionable,” meaning readers will find links to relevant sites, contacts, and ways to follow-up on what they've just read. Publishing Perspectives Children’s Edition Children’s and YA publishing remains one of the brightest spots in the global publishing marketplace, both in print and, increasingly, digital. As a result, they've created a dedicated email covering the top children’s news stories from around the world. PublishNews Brazil Today, the publishing world is talking about Brazil as a major growth market for publishing. Early in 2011, Publishing Perspectives formed a partnership with PublishNews, the leading publishing trade magazine in Brazil, to offer PublishNewsBrazil.com—a news site and email edition exclusively on this booming market. Spanish World Book News In October of 2011, the site launched Spanish World Book News in collaboration with Fundación El Libro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This news services offers readers in-depth coverage of Spanish-language publishing from across the Americas and Spain.

    Background and Format: The Drum is a fortnightly marketing business magazine and news-led website covering the advertising/design/digital media sectors. The magazine is specifically aimed at the media, marketing and design community outside of London where they are served by the London-based media and marketing titles. The English and Scottish editions of The Drum merged into one publication on August 2008. The magazine is aimed at top level management and key decision makers. When sending press to the publication, the deadline falls on the last Wednesday of the month prior to publication, the title is then published a week later. The website that accompanies the publication has a monthly unique user figure of 1 million (source: publisher). The circulation is currently not disclosed as 9 months ago they took the company global and are waiting on their most recent figures. The magazine is available through subscription across the globe.
