Science fiction and fantasy magazine SFX has unveiled a new design in its latest issue. The new layout is designed to be clearer and easier to navigate, as well as more eye-catching. A new opinion section featuring long-standing columnists and The Book Club pages has been developed, Event Horizons is now part of the news pages and the letter pages have been updated to include posts from social media. Future plc has announced the merger of its websites TotalFilm.com, SFX.co.uk and GamesRadar.com into one website in November. This will combine content for film, TV, games, comics and books. The print and digital editions of Total Film and SFX remain unchanged. SFX, the monthly sci-fi, fantasy and horror magazine, covering TV, film, books, games, collectables and comics, has undergone a complete revamp. It will now be published in a wider size and printed on better quality paper. New sections of the magazine include retro TV feature ‘20 Things We Love About…’, a monthly peek into readers’ sci-fi memorabilia collections and new columnists like horror industry insider “Penny Dreadful”. The overhaul of the magazine marks a period of sustained investment from Future, as part of a move to encourage further engagement with the SFX brand across a number of different platforms.
