Launched in April 2019, Subsea Watcher is a personal blog about the subsea industry. The blog provides a mixture of subsea content with Steve blogging about what interests him. Many posts are about environmental matters affecting the subsea industry which are written in an analytical style and may include photographs. Others consist of production history, offshore facilities, Oil & Gas Authority announcements, company mergers and project announcements. He also writes about industry awards.
The Blogger:
Subsea Watcher is written by Steve Sasanow who started the blog after being editor of Subsea Engineering News. "A long-time reader of the missives from my previous existence told me last week that I should write a blog. I realised that it was a good idea – being restricted to the 140 characters in Twitter does put a serious limitation on how much you can say. And no one ever accused me of not having an opinion. So it is time to spread my wings again. I’m not going to attempt to report on even a fraction of what is going on in the subsea world, but I intend to comment on key items of interest – important projects, new technology, business deals, energy policy and the general energy scene."
PR Opportunities:
PR opportunities are available in the form of stories about deals, contracts and people movements. Steve says: "I can’t promise to use everything – this is a blog, not a newsletter." He can best be reached at steven@keltd.co.uk
