Sustainable Cooks is a personal blog covering healthy, wholesome, and nourishing recipes that are specifically designed to be low-cost, simple, and quick to prepare. It is the successor to Frugal by Choice, Cheap by Necessity.
The fundamentals of working with bloggers are the same as with traditional journalists at traditional media outlets: respect their schedules; take time to read their material to learn their interests; and only contact them if/when they want to be contacted. When sending green products be sure that they save readers time and money. Pitch recycling topics and remember that value and quality are most important to readers. Avoid sending too many luxury items as they rarely, if ever, cover luxury goods or services. When pitching products always be mindful of the staffs' deadlines. They typically work three to four months in advance. Be sure to include price, availability and other pertinent shopping details.
