PR professionals are advised to fax time-sensitive press releases to the Bloomberg assignment desk. For non-breaking news and general story ideas, contact the producer of the appropriate Bloomberg program. Many of the network's reporters and correspondents want to receive information directly as well. All information sent must be related to some aspect of business and be of interest to a mass audience. Do not call between 4pm and 5pm ET. Keep pitches brief but specific, and include appropriate contact information. Lead times vary depending on the nature of the story. Breaking news can be covered instantly while some features may take weeks to produce. Bloomberg Television is viewed predominantly by adults interested in daily business news. 34 percent of Bloomberg's audience has a household income of over $100,000. Business related releases should be emailed to release@bloomberg.net. International releases should be sent to newsalert@bloomberg.net.
