Simon Jones, Editor-in-Chief of the title, began the project with the hopes to build bridges between the English and Polish communities in Reading saying "We want to help Reading's estimated 8,000 Poles to feel part of the fabric of the town and entwine them in local issues" and now is able to reflect upon his project with the knowledge that "The success of Kronika Reading has shown that Poles have a real desire to get immersed in local issues and that is very encouraging in terms of helping to build community cohesion."The title is currently a seven page Broadsheet complete with front cover and is translated by the Prestige Network and Sub-Edited by Jo Pazucha.The main contact for news regarding the title is Simon Jones who can be reached on +44 (0)118 950 3030 or simonjones@trinitysouth.co.uk .Gorkana Consumer Alert: Monday 16th October 2006On Thursday of last week The Reading Chronicle launched its first Polish-language edition of the regional weekly newspaper. Simon Jones, Editor-in-Chief of the title, fondly known as Kronika Reading to it's new audience, viewed the project as an innovative way of connecting with Reading's large Polish community, saying "It's important for newspapers to look a new ways of building audiences and connecting with new communities. We want to help Reading's estimated 8,000 Poles to feel part of the fabric of the town and entwine them in local issues".The project has already been considered a success, and the team behind it are already planning the next issue. Kronika Reading was translated by the Prestige Network and Sub-Edited by Jo Pazucha.
