Established in 1969 to serve travel agencies, corporate travel agencies, tour operators, and home-based independents in the Western United States. Highlights include travel developments in the Western market and reports of consumer trends. Regular issue features include general industry news, destination features important to Western agents, niche travel topics and cruise news. Regular sections include: News, offering industry news items; Cruise News, covering cruise lines, ships, and ports; Fam Trips, listing familiarization trips available to travel agents; People, covering industry personalities; Seminars & Meetings, listing educational opportunities and vendor exhibitions and Doing Business, a weekly feature on such topics as management, technology and subjects of specific interest to the at-home agents. Also features several destination sections. Destination sections cover local travel news and trends and major attractions and events. Media Alert: Wednesday July 31st 2013 TravelAge West, a leading B2B site devoted to inspiring and educating travel agents, has recently re-launched. New features on the site include a hotel search with 140,000 properties and a cruise search with 18,000 cruise sailings, 360 ships and 90 cruise lines. Geo Quiz, the magazine’s back-page feature, will be getting an all-new treatment online, with an interactive tool that, among other features, allows visitors to track and tweet their scores over time.
